The Artist-in-Residence Program is a new program that will provide a contract for a cellist to perform and teach with Austin Chamber Music Center in Austin, TX. Through a competitive online application due Monday, September 26, 2022, three finalists will be selected and invited to a live audition in Austin, TX on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Travel expenses, including flight, accommodations, and local transportation will be covered for all finalists.

The initial contract will include the following engagements totaling $20,000 plus local housing and local transportation between September 2023 and July 2025. Permanent relocation to Austin is NOT required and specific concert dates will be chosen in consultation with the winner.

-Five concert programs each with two engagements plus possible community outreach
-Up to four additional concert engagements with ACMC or a collaborating organization
-The Artist In-Residence will also receive introductions to and networking opportunities with other arts organizations.
-Additional engagements will be contracted separately
