Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra: Co-Principal Cello (sitting no.2)

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Co-Principal Cello.

This is a full-time, contract position, with opportunities to lead the section on occasion.

Based in Poole, Dorset, the BSO perform extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and deliver an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department.

The Orchestra’s Principal Conductor is Kirill Karabits; Leader Amyn Merchant.

Auditions will be held in Poole on Monday 11 September 2023

Audition repertoire:
1st movement of Haydn C major or D major concerto (without cadenza)
1st movement of a major concerto (without cadenza)
excerpts will be emailed to those offered an audition
sight-reading may be given
