Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra: Principal Cello, sitting No.3

This is a full time, contract position.

Based in Poole, Dorset, the BSO perform extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and also deliver an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department.

The Orchestra’s Principal Conductor is Kirill Karabits; Leader Amyn Merchant.

Single round, unaccompanied auditions will be held in Poole and Bournemouth in the early autumn.

The basic audition requirements are as follows:

* 1st movement of Haydn C major or D major concerto (without cadenza)
* 1st movement of a major concerto (without cadenza)
* excerpts – to be sent to all candidates who are offered an audition
* sight-reading may be given
