The Orchestra Now: Cello

The Orchestra Now (TŌN) is a unique pre-professional orchestra that combines performance with rigorous study of the humanities, inspiring musicians to become creative ambassadors of classical music. TŌN offers musicians the option of a 3-year Master’s Degree in Curatorial, Critical, and Performance Studies, or a 2-year Advanced Certificate in Orchestra Studies. All students receive a full-tuition fellowship and bi-weekly stipend.

Applications are now open for the 2024–25 season. The deadline for pre-screening is January 10th, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern time. We currently have vacancies for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Oboe, Bassoon, and Percussion. We often have additional vacancies open up over the course of the year, so we encourage musicians who play the following instruments to apply as well: Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Trumpet, Tenor Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, Harp, Keyboards.
