His Performance Anxiety

FacebookTwitterRedditLinkedInPinterestWhatsApp

Janos Starker discusses performance anxiety and how he dealt with nerves throughout his career. He candidly admits that he experienced nervousness from a young age, starting around age seven, and continued to feel anxious before performances even later in life. This anxiety stemmed from a sense of responsibility to perform well rather than fear of failure or inability to play. While some people find it hard to believe a well-known musician could feel nervous, it’s a natural part of taking responsibility for a performance.
